SHORT TAKES : Pauley Feels Guilt About ‘Today’

NEW YORK —
Jane Pauley says she feels some responsibility for a 17% drop in the ratings of “Today.”
Pauley left the NBC morning program last December and said in the Aug. 13 issue of People magazine she feels guilty about the ratings slump.
Guilty, she said, “to the degree that any of it was my doing.”
Pauley was succeeded on “Today” after 13 years by Deborah Norville.
