NAMES IN THE NEWS : Madonna Has Lock on Hair Poll

Madonna has hair that “makes your head turn” but Barbara Bush’s hair “makes your stomach turn,” according to a hair industry poll by the International Hair Color Exchange. While naming Madonna’s tresses as the best, the poll also praised the locks of Michelle Pfeiffer, Kimberly Foster, Barbara Walters, Joan Rivers, Cybil Shepherd, Jane Seymour, Brooke Shields, Melanie Griffith and Valerie Bertinelli but turned thumbs down on Kathleen Sullivan, Roseanne Barr, Jane Pauley, Kim Bassinger, Dolly Parton, Elizabeth Taylor, Ivana Trump, Jamie Lee Curtis and Angie Dickinson.

Sylvester Stallone was cited for having the best hair. Singer Michael Bolton, Arsenio Hall, Michael Douglas, Shadoe Stevens, Mel Gibson, Bryant Gumbel, Chuck Berry, Richard Lewis and Robert Plant also were cited.

Boxing promoter Don King’s shocked locks were the named as the worst in the men’s category, which also included Geraldo Rivera, Ted Koppel, Michael Jackson, Donald Trump, Ronald Reagan, Alice Cooper, Prince, Bruce Willis and David Letterman.
