Animal Rights Group to Appeal Judgement

LAS VEGAS — Animal rights activists said today they will appeal a verdict which awarded entertainer Bobby Berosini $4.2 million in his yearlong battle over allegations he mistreated orangutans used in his Las Vegas act.
“He’ll never see a penny of that money,” vowed Philip Hirschkop attorney for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Berosini had sued after the group released a videotape of his alleged mistreatment of the animals.
