Shearson Holders OK Merger: Shareholders of Shearson Lehman Hutton Holdings approved merging the Wall Street firm with its parent, American Express Co., effective Friday. At a shareholders meeting, 91.59% of the votes cast were in favor of the merger, a Shearson spokesman said. Shearson is the parent company of the Shearson Lehman Bros. brokerage and the investment bank Lehman Bros.
