TransTechnology Shows a Profit in 1st Quarter

TransTechnology Corp. in Sherman Oaks reported a $294,000 profit in its fiscal first quarter that ended June 30, compared with a $3.36-million loss a year earlier.

The company said the improvement came on a 5% increase in revenue, to $43.2 million from $41.2 million.

TransTechnology makes products for the aerospace and industrial markets. The latest quarter represented a turnabout from the company’s fiscal fourth quarter that ended March 31, when it lost $4.6 million and suspended its stock dividend.
