3 Killed, 22 Hurt in Kabul Rocket Attack

Three people were killed and 22 hurt Monday when Afghan rebels fired rockets into the capital, the official Kabul Radio reported.

Eleven U.S.-supplied surface-to-surface missiles hit residential areas in four Kabul districts, causing heavy damage, the broadcast said.

Kabul has frequently come under rocket attack by Western-backed guerrillas fighting the Soviet-supported government.
