Chicago Prosecutors Drop AIDS Transmission Case

CHICAGO — Prosecutors on Tuesday dropped charges of criminal transmission of AIDS against a transsexual who allegedly bit one Chicago policeman and scratched another. Attorneys for the defendant, Olivia St. John, said the charges were the first brought under a state law forbidding willful transmission through intimate contact.
