Pasadena : Decision on Death Upheld
The state attorney general’s office has ruled that county prosecutors were correct in not filing criminal charges against security guards and police officers involved in the January death of Robert Earl Holloway. The Pasadena man died in an incident at the King’s Villages apartment complex, where he was allegedly trespassing.
Although witnesses said Holloway was beaten by security guards from Gold Security Patrol, the firm that guards the complex, there was a “lack of supporting medical evidence” confirming the charges, Deputy Atty. Gen. Andrew D. Amerson said in a letter to Mayor Jess Hughston.
Holloway’s family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the security company, the housing complex and the city.
