British Fighter Jet Crashes in North Sea; 2 Missing

LONDON —
A British fighter jet crashed into the North Sea during a training flight and the two crew members are missing and presumed dead, the Defense Ministry reported Friday.
Rescuers abandoned an air and sea search for the crew after the wreckage was discovered. The plane crashed Thursday off Spurn Head on the northeast English coast. The cause of the crash is not known.
