Dayton Hudson Corp.: The Minneapolis-based retailer announced a second-quarter profit of $59 million, up 5.4% from the same period last year, on revenue of $3.24 billion, up 4.7%. The company said strong performances from its Target and Mervyn’s stores allowed for an increase in profit despite costs associated with the acquisition of Marshall Field’s.
