Pilots Pull Out of Eastern Creditors Committee: The Airline Pilots Assn. said it decided to withdraw after the judge hearing the bankruptcy case quashed their attempt to subpoena officials of several of Eastern’s major creditors. The union wanted to question the officials about leaks of information during the proceedings. The pilots said they acted before the start of a hearing in New York on Tuesday on Eastern’s request to have the pilots removed from the committee. The Miami-based airline had sought to remove the pilots because they allegedly disclosed confidential information obtained from the committee.
