SmithKline, Rugby to Sell Generic Dyazide: SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals will make a generic form of its popular high blood pressure drug to be distributed by Rugby Laboratories, the companies said. SmithKline Beecham will continue providing Dyazide under its brand-name for those who want it. Rugby will ship the generic capsules to pharmacies, chains and wholesalers by Oct. 1. Generic competitors for Dyazide, one of the most widely prescribed drugs in the country, have been absent from the marketplace since Bolar Pharmaceutical Co. earlier this year withdrew its version.
