MARKET JITTERS: The Dow Jones industrial average fell 76.73 points to 2,483.42--its lowest level of 1990 (D1) . . . . Spurred by fears of war and recession, the index has tumbled 516, or 17.2%, from the year’s high of 2,999.95. The value of most Orange County companies’ stock has fallen, too. . . . Hurt most: Fluor Corp. shares have tumbled 35% from a high of 48 7/8 to 31 5/8 Thursday. The engineering and construction giant’s earlier stock rise was boosted by a big contract in Saudi Arabia. . . . Concerns about its Mideast business is now prompting many investors to sell.
