Sweden to Aid Refugees

STOCKHOLM —
Sweden said Tuesday it will send $8.75 million in humanitarian aid to the Persian Gulf, most of it to help thousands of refugees fleeing Kuwait and Iraq. “The refugee situation is acute, especially in Jordan. That’s why we have decided to help,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Lars-Olof Lundberg said.
