SAN FRANCISCO —
Former ABC News correspondent Sylvia Chase says she will return to the network in New York this fall as a correspondent for “Prime Time Live,” the magazine show anchored by Sam Donaldson and Diane Sawyer.
She said her interest in returning to reporting was sparked by last year’s events in Tian An Men Square and later, the reunification of Germany.
“I felt almost this pain of wanting to be involved as a reporter every morning when I picked up the New York Times,” said Chase, 52, who came to KRON-TV about five years ago from eight years on ABC’s news program “20-20.”
