Mortgage Defaults Up Only Slightly: The delinquency rate on home mortgages rose in the second quarter to 4.52% from 4.41% in the first quarter, according to a nationwide survey by the Mortgage Bankers Assn. of America. Experts warned, however, that the percentage of overdue loans might continue to rise well into 1991 as the U.S. economy weakens and unemployment grows.
