Wilson S. Johnson, past president and chairman of the National Federal of Independent Businesses, which represents 500,000 small businesses throughout the 50 states. Johnson, who joined the advocacy group in 1958, was president from 1969 until 1983, when he became chairman. He served on several national President’s commissions including the Private Sector Council on Cost Control, the Bipartisan Commission on Central America and the National Industrial Energy Council.
