Negotiations to Settle Mideast Crisis

You ask in your editorial “Who Made Iraq What It Is Today?” (Aug. 25). You need look no further than Israel, with its expansionist policy, backed with nuclear capability, and an American Congress whose motto is “Israel, right or wrong.”

This is what has made Iraq (and other Arab countries as well) into paranoid entities of distrust and fear, unable to distinguish between rational and irrational behaviors.
