Gunman Kidnaps, Rapes Teen-Age Girl

A 17-year-old Van Nuys girl was kidnaped at gunpoint Sunday and raped, Los Angeles police reported.
The girl told police a man forced her into his van at gunpoint near Sherman Way and Reseda Boulevard about 1 a.m.
She said the man raped her and left her near Mureau and Calabasas roads in Calabasas. She walked to a nearby school to call authorities. Sheriff’s deputies found her at the school about 4 a.m. Sunday and contacted Los Angeles police. She was taken to a nearby hospital.
The man--possibly an Asian in his mid-20s, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds--drove a dark blue or gray van, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. William Weber.
