Black Violence in South Africa

Share

Lately in the news I’ve heard a lot about the tribal wars in South Africa. If Nelson Mandela truly intends to be a major world leader, as so many assumed he would be when he was released from prison, solving the unrest that plagues South Africa is a “must do” for him.

The current tribal wars strengthen the separatists’ beliefs that the blacks are not ready to lead them in the industrialized society of today. He must convince them that warring among themselves is self-defeating and does not propel them forward in the constant evolution of the world and mankind. They must know they need not be locked forever in eternity at war with each other. He must show them how to pick themselves up by their bootstraps.

Mandela has shown he has patience and fortitude by coming out of prison seemingly more resolved than when he went in. He has shown he has charisma by drawing the attention he received on his world tour.

Now he is back home, on his turf, and the situation is ripe for him to show he has the ability to be a true world leader.
