Library Offers Guide for Inventors
Inventors, prospective inventors and others interested in patents and trademarks are invited to visit the main Inglewood Library at 101 W. Manchester Blvd. to read the Official Gazette of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Published weekly by authority of Congress, the gazette comes in two sections:
The patents section lists, describes, and illustrates items on which patents were granted in the categories of general and mechanical, chemical and electrical. Designs for everything from a round ravioli to a toy water bed are shown.
The trademarks section lists trademarks granted in various classes, and includes illustrations of the logos that the trademark applicants will use.
The gazette also tells how to get copies of patents and trademarks and provides other useful information.
It is available in the reference area on the second floor of the main Inglewood Library, which is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
