BROTHERS MENENDEZ

Share

How could children commit such an unspeakable and heinous crime, killing their own parents? Actually, very easily. The Menendez brothers were raised in an environment conducive to such an action. Their successful father expected, no demanded, that they succeed in life. But the brothers had neither the talent, nor the patience nor the unwillingness to work hard to duplicate the feats of their father. In his eyes they would always be disappointments and never good enough.

So the brothers took the most logical step in fulfilling their father’s expectations, killing the parents so they could immediately be wealthy and powerful in their own right without having to be dependent on and overshadowed by an overbearing father.

Fortunately, the Menendez brothers were even failures at murder. It all goes to show that even money can’t buy a children’s love for their parents or make them a guaranteed success in life.
