Caesars Palace has donated 14,000 decks of playing cards to the American Red Cross for shipment to U.S. troops stationed in Saudi Arabia, a resort spokesman said.

The Las Vegas resort contributed 100 cases of cards at the request of the Red Cross station manager at Nellis Air Force Base, Caesars spokesman Phil Cooper said.

“When we were made aware of the opportunity to contribute something positive to our people who have been sent halfway across the world, we decided to provide a special Caesars Palace diversionary tactic,” Cooper said.
