Culver City : Preferential Parking Plan

Share

In response to resident complaints, the City Council has directed city staff to devise a system of preferential resident parking on Keystone and Coombs avenues.

Residents of Keystone Avenue complained of a continuous parking spillover from the nearby Los Angeles County offices during business hours. Although police say they have increased enforcement, residents said there has been no difference.

Residents of streets near Veterans Memorial Park, including Coombs Avenue, also complained of excess parking from the park. They complained to council members that park visitors were changing from business clothes to athletic attire on their front lawns. They asked the council to extend the weekday, daytime parking restrictions so that park users would be affected.

The new parking guidelines will be presented at the council meeting Sept. 24.
