Fax for Gulf Troops

Fax machines have been airlifted to U.S. troops in the Persian Gulf so they may receive up-to-the-minute news from home in addition to letters and packages, a spokesman for Sen. Alan Cranston (D-Calif.) said Thursday. Communications companies including ATT, MCI and Sprint are participating in the fax airlift, the spokesman said.
