SORRY, BOSS: Irvine police are more red than blue nowadays after listing City Council members in their September newsletter but getting three of the five names wrong. (Two of those listed are no longer on the council and another is suing the city to gain a seat.) . . . The department quickly ordered a correction, but printers wound up listing Councilwoman Paula Werner as Paul Werner. . . . Police Chief Leo E. Peart promised to correct the correction this week.
