Xerox Introduces Computer: Xerox Corp. renewed its thrust into the office computing market with a new desktop computer that combines a Sun Microsystems workstation with Xerox’s Globalview integrated office software. Xerox also introduced an enhancement for International Business Machines-compatible personal computers that allows those machines to run the Xerox software. Globalview features networking capabilities and the easy-to-use graphics interface that was pioneered by Xerox but made popular by the Apple Macintosh.
