Soldier Killed in Jeep Accident in Saudi Arabia
An American soldier was killed and two others were injured today in a Jeep accident in the Saudi Arabian desert, U.S. military officials said.
The death brought to 17 the number of fatalities among American personnel since Operation Desert Shield began in early August. All were accidental.
Military spokesmen said the latest accident involved a vehicle belonging to the 82nd Airborne Division operating “off road” in an undisclosed location.
The identities of the accident victims were withheld pending notification of relatives.
