The popularity of this park’s sports facilities makes it one of the most well-used recreation areas in the west San Fernando Valley, according to park director Tracie Field. But what the community isn’t always aware of is the number of classes offered at the park.

“We have one of the largest programs of community classes in the Valley,” Field said. “Where else can you go to learn belly-dancing and drama in between basketball games?”

The park offers a drama program for children ages 3 to 6 in addition to acting courses for adults. Music lessons including guitar and other instruments as well as a variety of dance classes are also taught in the community building.

In addition to the classes, Woodland Hills Park has a packed schedule of basketball leagues for children and adults.
