I. Magnin to Close Palm Springs Store: The I. Magnin department store chain will close one of its two stores in Palm Springs on Nov. 18. The chain said it is consolidating two stores within two blocks of each other--closing the smaller and older store on Palm Canyon Drive and transferring all employees to its newer store. The I. Magnin in nearby Palm Desert will remain open, the company said.
