Los Angeles police detectives, searching for evidence in a recent gang killing, raided 12 homes in East Wilmington early Saturday, confiscating a number of guns and rounds of ammunition from suspected gang members.
The 5:30 a.m. raid, according to Police Officer Ed Ruddy, did not lead to any arrests but did yield additional information into the slaying of Marvin Price, 18, of Wilmington. Price died early last Sunday from gunshot wounds after being dropped off by an unknown party at a Harbor City hospital, police said.
After Saturday’s raid and the questioning of several suspected gang members, LAPD homicide detectives announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for Robert Trani, 23, of East Wilmington in connection with Price’s killing.
The detectives also asked for the public’s assistance in locating Trani.
