* J.D. Power & Associates, an Agoura Hills automotive research and marketing concern, has announced several personnel changes:

John Rettie and Jack Feuer were named editorial director and managing editor, respectively, in charge of the company’s major publications. Jamey Power, son of company president and founder J. David Power III, was named a senior project director.

Dan Canedo was named western regional training manager for the company’s Acura Sales Awareness Program, which helps train Acura sales force. Thad Malish was appointed senior consultant, specializing in short-term light-vehicle forecasts, and Bob Greiner was named manager of management information systems.

Also joining the company was Jim Burness, who is advertising coordinator. William Ferree became coordinator for all of Power’s public relations activities.

* BNB Bancorp, the parent of Burbank National Bank, said it appointed J.H. Woods Jr. as president and chief executive. Woods retired in 1986 from Valley National Bank, where he had been senior vice president and compliance officer.

* TransWorld Bank said it promoted Randal B. Baker to vice president, compliance and loan review, from vice president and senior lending officer of the bank’s main office in Sherman Oaks. Baker replaces Robert Nicholson, who will join the federal government’s Resolution Trust Corp.

* Transamerica Insurance Co. of Woodland Hills said it appointed John O. Beeks vice president. Beeks, who oversees commercial property-casualty marketing, was formerly director of risk management.

The property-casualty insurer, a subsidiary of Transamerica Corp., also said Dennis P. Drent was named vice president and director of management information and reports. Before the appointment, he was assistant controller.

* Valley Federal Savings & Loan in Van Nuys said it named Lewis J. Finocchio Jr. executive vice president for retail banking. Finocchio was previously senior vice president, private banking, for World Trade Bank in California.
