Bush Forced to Cancel Visit to Czechoslovakia

PRAGUE, Czechoslovakia —
The Persian Gulf crisis has forced President Bush to cancel a visit to Czechoslovakia en route to the Paris Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe Nov. 19, President Vaclav Havel said Monday.
Speaking on his return from the U.N. conference on children in New York, Havel said Bush canceled plans to come to Prague because “he is too busy with the gulf.”
