Morale of Marines in Persian Gulf

My friends from back East like to come to Southern California occasionally to play but they always remind me that they wouldn’t want to live here permanently. They say they’d miss adult conversation and a serious daily newspaper.

So why did you have to rise to the epitome of silliness during their current visit with the editorial in which you tell the very serious and very competent commandant of the Marine Corps to stop lecturing his troops.

Couldn’t you have just stayed with the Spotted Owl as the issue of the day. At least I might have argued that owls are serious to us.
