Financial markets will be open, but some futures markets trading will be shortened for Columbus Day. The Chicago Board of Trade will close financial futures trading at 10 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange will close agricultural, currency and interest-rate futures trading at 10 a.m., and the Chicago Board Options Exchange said there will be no interest-rate options trading. Federal government offices will be closed. Some banks may be closed.
