Radio Station to Be Awarded as Prize: MTV has launched another of its wacky promotional contests. But this one, which started Wednesday and runs until Nov. 2, features a prize that might appeal to budding entrepreneurs--a radio station. The winner of the 5,000-watt Thomasville, Ga., radio station WSTT-AM will get singer Billy Idol as a guest disc jockey as well as $10,000 in start up capital “to keep you from having to take any payola,” quipped an MTV official. The winner will be selected from a random drawing of postcards and phone entries.
