American Mobile Reports Profit After Assets Sale

American Mobile Systems Inc. in Woodland Hills reported a $1.93-million profit in its fiscal year that ended June 30, compared with a $7-million loss the previous year.

The profit was due to a $10.3-million gain from the sale of assets during the year, said American Mobile, which markets mobile communications equipment and services. The profit also included a $778,000 tax benefit.

American Mobile’s fiscal year revenue fell 8%, to $5.64 million from $6.11 million.
