Education Aides Charged in Scalding of Retarded Pupil

HOUSTON —
Two special education aides have been charged with scalding the hand of a 12-year-old mentally retarded elementary school pupil and muffling his cries after he soiled his clothes a second time in one day. A third worker has been accused of failing to report the Oct. 4 incident, which caused the boy to be hospitalized.
