A homeless man recently made himself at home by moving into a closet at city housing authority offices.

The man, described as in his 30s, unkempt and dazed, spent at least five nights in an 8-by-10-foot utility closet down the hall from the authority’s executive offices.

Authority workers said they had seen the man sitting idly in the agency’s coffee lounge for five days and that he once asked where he could apply for a job.

The company that manages the office building called police to remove the man after he was found living in the closet, which is filled with circuit breakers and wiring.
