Swiss Army Knife Firm Expands: The company that brought the all-purpose Swiss Army knife to America has expanded into the sunglasses and watch business. Forschner Group Inc., the Shelton, Conn.-based U.S. distributor of the multiblade red knives with silver crosses, has created a new subsidiary, Swiss Army Brands Ltd., to handle the additional lines. The company is banking on consumers’ familiarity with the Swiss Army name to get the products off the ground. Sales of the watch are at $4 million since its debut last fall, double projections. But sales of the aviator-style sunglasses, introduced in April, have been disappointing.
