Freshman Joe-Max Moore’s goal in the seventh minute of overtime Sunday sparked third-ranked UCLA to a 2-0 victory over Wake Forest for the championship of the sixth annual UCLA-Met Life Classic soccer tournament.

The shot by midfielder Moore from 15 yards in front of the goal came after the teams were scoreless in regulation. Freshman Sean Henderson’s header in the 100th minute provided the final goal.

UCLA improved to 13-1-3. Wake Forest fell to 8-6-2.

Moore, who had three assists in the Bruins’ 3-0 victory over Air Force Friday night, was named the tournament’s offensive most valuable player. Wake Forest’s Craig Conger was defensive MVP.
