Nintendo to Ease Manufacturing Rules: Nintendo of America Inc., a subsidiary of Nintendo, which has strictly controlled the manufacture of games for its entertainment systems, has offered U.S. companies that design the games the chance to manufacture them, a company spokeswoman said. Lynne Gray, a spokeswoman for Nintendo in Los Angeles, said the company sent a memo to its licensees on Oct. 3, offering the chance for them to manufacture their designs. No one has signed up yet to do so, Gray said, describing the program as experimental.
