Ziff to Acquire Seybold: San Jose-based Ziff Communications Co., which claims to be the nation’s largest computer publishing firm, said it will acquire for an undisclosed amount the four Seybold companies, which produce newsletters, conferences and expositions on the use of computers in publishing and multimedia applications. The Seybold companies, including one based in Malibu, will continue to be run as an autonomous operation with Jonathan Seybold and the current Seybold management and editorial team in charge, Ziff said.
