Madonna, Heavy Metal Shock Pat Boone

Madonna and heavy metal music don’t make Pat Boone’s hit parade.

The clean-cut Boone told the Washington Times that he’s shocked by the bands Judas Priest and Guns ‘N Roses. “They’ve moved beyond depravity and degradation to inhumanity,” he said. “It is unthinkable that this lifestyle can be not only excused but glamorized.”

As for Madonna, Boone says she is “a talented tart. There’s some kind of moral vacuum there, some kind of moral numbness. I just cringe at it.”

And, of course, Boone doesn’t sing 2 Live Crew’s “Me So Horny” in the shower.

“I think they’re criminals,” he said of the rap group, which was cleared of obscenity charges in Florida last week. “They’ve been breaking the laws of decency. They wrap themselves in the flag like they were Nathan Hales. I know black people around the country are embarrassed that 2 Live Crew say they’re expressing their blackness by flaunting every animal instinct onstage.”
