Xerox Corp.: Net income in the third quarter was $132 million, off 15% from the same period last year, on revenue of $4.5 billion, about the same as third-quarter 1989. The Stamford, Conn., copier and insurance company said growth in document processing was more than offset by continued weak performance in its insurance and financial services business, primarily because of substantially lower capital gains in insurance.
