Saturn Officially On Sale: Saturn dealers aggressively promoted the cars on their first day of retail sale. On both sides of the country, dealers dueled for bragging rights on who sold the first Saturn. In his own version of time travel, Brad Boeckmann of Saturn of the Valley in Sepulveda delivered a four-door Saturn at 9 p.m., PDT, Wednesday. He reasoned that back East, Wednesday was turning into Thursday, the official launch date for the new line of General Motors cars.
