Chevron Corp.: The San Francisco energy company said third-quarter earnings fell 3% to $403 million, although revenue jumped 33% to $10.6 billion. Chevron said it was not able to fully recover higher crude oil costs in the wake of Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait.
