Federated Unit Files for Bankruptcy: Campeau Massachusetts Inc. filed for protection from creditors under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The filing was in Cincinnati, home of the company’s parent, Federated Stores Inc. Federated, the U.S. retailing unit of Toronto-based Campeau Corp., has been in Chapter 11 since January.
