Cheap Water for Farmers

Share

It doesn’t make sense for the government to sell cheap water to farmers to produce surplus crops for the government to buy at inflated prices, while millions of city dwellers must conserve water during a drought. It also doesn’t make sense to let corporations get subsidized water by pretending to be a bunch of 960-acre farms.

There would be no water shortage if the government eliminated water subsidies for surplus crops that are price supported and made corporations pay their fair share for water.
