SEN. VASQUEZ?: Supervisor Gaddi H. Vasquez is showing up on political pundits’ short list of possible successors to Sen. Pete Wilson if Wilson is elected governor. . . . Vasquez is one of the Republican Party’s young stars, and appointing him to the Senate could boost Wilson’s standing among Latino voters. Though flattered to be mentioned, Vasquez says only: “For the time being, the most important thing is to get Pete Wilson elected.”
